PERC, by all means, allows for the passivation of the solar cell´s rear side, which involves installing a reflective layer, designed to capture previously unused sunlight back into the cell where it can be converted into solar electricity.

A Special Nano Coating on the rear surface of the solar cell
Rays of sunlight that would otherwise go to waste are mirrored by the Power Reflector back through the cell to generate more electricity. Laser-fired contacts complement the nano coating to enhance the module’s electrical properties, increasing its efficiency considerably.

Q.ANTUM DUO Technology reduces both electrical and optical losses by halving the current passing through each cell while making use of incident light more effectively.

Greater output by halving the current
Halving the cell halves the current. When combined with a module layout which reduces the distance traveled by the electric current, the result is a 3% increase in power. Two half cells with 12 busbars have the same or even greater output as a full cell with 24 busbars.

Reduced shading losses with round wires
Utilizing wires instead of flat ribbons reduces both the width and the effective shading width decreasing shading by 75% and increasing the power by 2.5%. The light reflected from the round shape of the wires improves the light capturing effect of the module.

Light and Elevated Temperature Induced Degradation (LeTID) effect can significantly damage the power of solar cells on both p-type and n-type cells. Qcells is the first company to observe LeTID effects and come up with a solution to suppress LeTID in 2015.

Qcells is the first solar module manufacturer in the industry to pass TÜV Rheinland’s new Quality Controlled PV (QCPV) certification, the most thorough testing program in the industry. Developed by TÜV Rheinland, QCPV is not only the most extensive and stringent test program to date, but is also the only certification in the entire industry to involve independent and random onsite testing by external experts, as well as regular material and supplier test.

Onsite Production Monitoring
