Qcells Completes Construction of Georgia Solar Module Manufacturing Facility and Executes First Delivery

[Dalton, Georgia, February 28, 2019] Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc. (“Georgia Factory”), a subsidiary of Hanwha Q CELLS & Advanced Materials Corp. (“Qcells” or “the Company”), announced the completion of its Dalton, Georgia manufacturing facility. The facility is the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere with an annual module production capacity of 1.7 gigawatts. The first delivery of Q.PEAK DUO L-G5 modules was recently executed after the Georgia Factory commenced production on Feb. 1. A formal grand-opening ceremony will commence at a later date.

The new facility will supply high-performance and high-quality photovoltaic modules to serve customers and consumers in the United States. Products from the Georgia Factory will be powered by Qcells’ proprietary Q.ANTUM Technology. Q.ANTUM is a solar cell technology that offers various benefits, such as high module performance output and long-term reliability, thanks to excellent Anti-PID (potential induced degradation), Anti-LID (light induced degradation), and Anti-LeTID (light and elevated temperature induced degradation) performance. The Company, together with Hanwha Q CELLS Co., Ltd., another affiliate of Hanwha Group, now maintains manufacturing facilities in the U.S., South Korea, Malaysia, and China.
