Established by two friends and electrical engineers, 8MSolar has quickly fulfilled its original purpose of becoming the leading supplier of premium solar energy solutions to homes and businesses in North Carolina and Virginia.
Since its founding in 2015, 8MSolar has taken the solar energy world by storm, becoming a leading example for other solar power companies in the U.S., which often model their operations after 8MSolar’s innovations.

Offering the Most Advanced Licensing in North Carolina
8MSolar is one of two solar installers in North Carolina with licensed, in-house, professional electrical engineers (PE) overseeing every aspect of the project. Additionally, 8MSolar operates as a Chapter 87 Engineering Firm (D-0411), holding both an Unlimited General Contractors license (#82456) and an Unlimited Electrical Contractors (#35668) license.
We provide custom engineered solar PV solutions for each customer we work with. We approach each project as its own entity and deliver the best possible solution based on the demands of our clients. The purpose behind this is to generate clean renewable energy, reduce the carbon footprint of our homes, businesses and to preserve our planet for ourselves and our future generations.

All our employees have mandated solar PV training twice a year. Our sales associates and design teams interact with all our hardware manufacturing partners and actively participate in training sessions.
